Lymington
Lymington is a small town in the south of The New Forest in Hampshire.
It has a charming, though steep, high street that leads down to a small section of cobbles then the quay (marina) where there is a pub offering good fish and chips (The Ship Inn) and there are boat trips in the Lymington River operating by Puffin Cruises.
Travel
There are two train stations in Lymington: Lymington Town, for the town, and Lymington Pier, for the far side of the river where the ferries to Isle of Wight depart. If visiting Lymington by car there is a limited amount of time-restricted parking on the high street itself or there are several large “pay and display” car parks just behind. There is also quite limited public parking at the quay.
