Review of 'The White Swan'

Located on the busy Mill Road the White Swan is popular with locals but proved to have a wowfully lacking menu. The first sign should have been the lack of any meal specials and the laminated menus completed the picture. The fish and chips were disappointing (both having been obviously been cooked from frozen). The sandwiches were much better served on granary bread with also what looked like promising panini. The hamburger was tried by one of our party but it turned up slightly raw. The assortment of beers and ales was also disappointing. I am sure it is a fantastic environment in the evening but I would not recommend it for lunch or dinner and there are far better choices even for a drink.
