Review of 'The Chamber'

The Chamber by John Grishom

Sam Cayhall only has a short period of time left before he is sent to the gas chamber for the murder of two children in the bombing of a jewish lawyer's offices in 1967. His grandson Adam Hall has made it his life's ambition to see that his grandfather is not sent to the chamber. He has a tough job ahead of him, only just out of law school and never having seen the inside of a jail he is now drawn into the life of a man that no one seems to like (even himself). A well written novel that keeps you guessing as to the end result all the way through. Though not justifying Sam's activities at any time his perspective is made clear and, in some way, understandable through the novel. A great read and quite an emotional story.

Rating: “It is OK but I have some issues”
