Review of 'All or Nothing'

all_or_nothing.jpg A touching story about a dysfunctional family living on a housing estate in London. The father is a quiet, gentle man who drives a taxi cab while his son is overweight and continually abusive to his mother who works in a grocery store. The daughter works as a cleaner in an old age home. Their lives are intertwined with others living in the housing complex (who have increasingly dramatic problems as well). Their purpose in life is called into question when they are forced together by a sudden accident. A fantastically gloomy and touching story by a master director.
