Review of 'Band of Brothers (Complete Series)'

band_of_brothers.jpg An epic tale following the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division (US Army) throughout the second world war. The stories and characters throughout the series are engaging with the effects truly incredible (though really only obvious in the first few episodes). The colours are intentionally muted which definitely lends an air of realism to the whole series. The camera work in places made me feel a bit dizzy (particularly the running through the fox holes). Each episode is introduced by veterans of “Easy Company” giving a bit of insight to what the episode will be about. A bit violent but a fascinating and at the same time horrifying view of the war through the eyes of those that were there.
