Review of 'Venus'
Venus by Ben Bova
A 'Grand Tour' book
Beginning what seems to be a series of books about the planets (following after his famous Mars and Return to Mars books) Venus is a wonderful novel of suspense following the son of a self-possessed millionaire as he voyages to Venus to bring back the remains of his brother. Of course, things do not go as planned quickening the pace somewhat. I found the main character not terribly terribly sympathetic though he does redeem himself as the story progresses. Mr. Bova has once again written a terrific story and he really brings the characters (selfish as they may be) to life. He brings the story out of a predictable format to something not entirely expected. Starts slowly but could not put it down after…
Rating: “It is OK but I have some issues”
