Review of 'Bored of the Rings'

Bored of the Rings by Henry N. Beard, and Douglas C. Kenney

Following the adventures of Frito, Spam and the wizard Goodgulf this is a mindless bit of fluff with enough of a resemblence to the Lord of the Rings series to make sure that people familiar with the series should find this mildly amusing (the “Ents” being transformed in an army of monsterous vegetables was quite good). But, that is exactly the problem with this, though I found myself chuckling in a few places it was not outrageously funny but perhaps I did not read it in the right frame of mind. A Harvard Lampoon.
