County Clare
Cliffs of Moher
Probably the single biggest attraction in County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher are in a remote location on the west coast of Ireland. This is a very popular place with a massive car park and quite an expensive entrance fee but the views are well worth it. The site features O'Brien's Tower (perched at the top of the cliffs, offering great views), a small market and wonderful paved paths along the tops of the cliffs.
The site has a large “underground” visitor centre which includes a modern museum, vertigo-inducing video show, café and shop. Use the selfie-machines in the museum to email a postcard from the site with a suitable backdrop…
It is perhaps worth making the effort to follow the paths away from the main site to leave the crowds behind and have a closer experience though mind the warning signs…
