Crete

Crete is the largest of the islands of Greece (much larger than you might think) and is often known for being the most “touristy”. Certainly in the coastal areas around Heraklion -- site of the main airport on the island -- there are a lot of resorts and you could be forgiven for not even knowing you are in Greece (except for the weather).

[Main Entrance]

Arriving at Heraklion and travelling to Daios you would be forgiven to believe it will just be more of the same style of resort you see along the way - A hotel in a busy road, concrete cookie-cutter buildings, crammed with visitors

Greece

Greece consists of the mainland where Athens is located but also of a number of islands that are a favourite for European tourists. I have only visited Crete and the resort of Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas.
