Well, 1999 has been a very busy year for me. I have travelled a great deal, seem some new things, learned quite a bit and, to top it off, gained a year on my increasing number of years...Count the white hairs (at least I have some to

2020 Country of Living: England in LONDON!

Quite a year it has been with COVID changing everyone's lives and meaning we have not been able to get out but have had lots of time to watch TV and experience the delights on offer with local restaurant delivery. We did manage to get to the US for a vacation just before lock-down (by luck, of course, not design) but otherwise we have pretty much stayed put, having to do with loca…

Despite our movements restricted we managed to get out a fair amount particularly after finally talking to a financial consultant and looking into the purchase of a new house. After a tour of much of England and the south of Wales we have made an offer on a property in

We are settling into our new life in Cheshire with Mel's business doing very well (“Paws a While Pet Grooming” in Cocoa Yard). She had a bit of a surprise as she started out renting a table in a shop owned by someone else but then that person had to stop trading for health reason leaving Mel sole leaseholder. Mel also had some health issues earlier in the year which meant an unexp…

Introduction

Community Computing is a movement that seeks to provide access to community information to
their community. Typically these organizations strive to make this access free and use
computers to provide this access. For such organizations to work the community must be
behind it (either by donating their time or actually using the system: if their is a
demand most likely the system is required).

There have been massive amounts of changes to my previous site including dramatically improving the way the site looks including providing extensive support for mobile phone (and smaller device) users.

Well, I have to admit, I am a big fan of Science Fiction. To be a bit clear: that of the printed and visual variety. Many people are fans of strictly the movie (see my reviews here) and TV aspect but I do prefer read my SF. To this end, for quite some time, every year I would make an effort to get to the
