Getting There

The Duxford Imperial War Museum is located just west of the M11 and a few miles south of Cambridge (at Junction 10). The museum is also accessible via the Citi 7 bus from Cambridge (one of the stops is the train station) though during air shows a free bus shuttle (also from the train station) is also available.

Permanent Exhibits

Concorde

There are a number of permanent exhibits at the museum:

  • Airspace - The newest hall this contains a number of aircraft including the Concorde (amazing, though be aware that occasionally they will charge a separate admission fee into the Concorde)
  • The American Air Museum - An intriguing building towards the west side of the site
  • Land Warfare Hall - The building at the far west of the site

The American Air Museum

The other hangers (2 through 5) house various exhibits on restoration.
