Review of 'Herman ze German (NOW CLOSED)'

A personal favourite

Quick and easy German frankfurters located in the busy alley between Charing Cross and Embankment. Tiny restaurant with very friendly staff serving very tasty German food with soft drinks from Germany.

We had the meal special which consisted of a sausage, fries and a drink for £7.50 which really can't be beat. Sausages also came with the optional sauerkraut which was very subtle. Our bratwurst was juicy and full of flavour. Their mustard is extremely mild which was a slight disappointment but the buns and fries were fantastic (the later being extremely crispy and, evidently, not cooked in oil). The soft drinks were wonderful sourced as they are from Hamburg (cola, apple, orange, etc though you pretty much have to be able to understand a bit of Germany to figure out what you are drinking!).

Always busy and always friendly, definitely worth a visit for a quick fix of German sausage. Why go for a sub-standard frank when you can have the authentic?
