Review of 'Cars 2'
In this follow-up to the smash Cars, we see Lightening McQueen (voiced by Own Wilson) joins the World Grand Prix to race in various locations around the world. Unknown to McQueen his best friend Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) has been drafted by Finn McMissile (Michael Caine) to help track down an international syndicate of criminals. Will their friendship be able to survive Mater's unusual behavior (odder than normal)? Will McQueen win the racing series? Will there be a Cars 3?
Enjoyable and fun if playing somewhat on stereotypes of the places visited though it all appears to be in good spirit. The car-based puns from the first movie continue here and the characters are just so fun it is enjoyable. I can't say I was first in the queue to watch but it was on so I watched it…It is definitely over the top and I am still not completely taken by the car-based world.
