Review of 'The Second Rumpole Omnibus'

The Second Rumpole Omnibus by John Mortimer

This is the second collection of Rumpole books composed of the novels “Rumpole for the Defence”, “Rumpole and the Golden Thread” and “Rumpole's Last Case”. This collection follows the usual format of each book being composed of a number of chapters being different “cases” that Rumpole imparts to the reader along with the familiar troubles at home with “She Who Must Be Obeyed” and the normal trials of the balley. A very good read with a number of rather telling tidbits about our society, justice and injustice. Written with a wry sence of humour, Mortimer has continued with his successful formula.

Rating: “Really good but I have some issues”
